Today I met the Secretary of State for Education Lucy Powell and asked her about the white paper and the SEND reforms. I stated and asked “The premise of inclusion, investment in mainstream schools and better school environments are exactly what we need, however reducing the legal rights of disabled children is not. Please can we ensure we rebalance the white paper in favour of our children?” Lucy answered with a deep understanding of the situation and was incredibly positive.
