This week is #PKDAwarenessWeek (4-11 Sept) 🧬, and I am sharing a deeply personal story because history has just repeated itself in our family. On 21st August, I underwent surgery at Royal London Hospital with Barts Health NHS Trust to donate my kidney to my husband, Tom Wallis, thanks to their fantastic renal and surgical transplant teams.
