I stopped eating animals as a child. (see the hip photo of myself hanging out by the windmill) There was no movement around me. No social media. No bs "vegan identity" to adopt. No organization telling me what photographs to look at or what language to use. Nobody told me to “go vegan.” I just knew, somewhere very early and very deeply, that I did not want to eat an animal.
