In my 20s and early 30s, I chased awards for validation. Awards left me empty, and imposter syndrome was raging within me. I still suffered from imposter syndrome in my 40s, but I quit chasing awards when I defined my purpose: "To do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with God, and make a positive difference in the lives of others."
