I used to think children who screamed on planes should be banned, alongside their annoying parents, from flying. Some of them, I still do. A screaming child on a flight is so annoying, especially when you've borrowed money to pay for business or first class because you wanted some peace. My instinct used to be: why can't these parents control their child? Then one day, it occurred to me that nobody on that plane wants that child to shut up more than the parents.
