“Go stand by that sign,” my mother said 18 years ago. It was the weekend before my first day of vet school. The plan was to become an equine vet. I have not worked a single day as an equine vet. Plans change. 18 years later, I’m still in the same industry. Just doing something very different from what I imagined back then. PS. Full denim in 2008? Somehow I managed to be both behind and ahead of my time.
